Justin's Peanut Butter Cups at Starbucks: All Natural, Organic and in Dark Chocolate too!

I stopped by Starbucks the other day while in the city (which is a must, since I live 2.5 hour away from the nearest Starbucks!) and I was pleasantly surprised to find a new chocolate treat. Even better, it was an organic and dark chocolate version of an age-old favourite: the peanut butter cup.

Justin's Peanut Butter Cups are produced by Justin's of Boulder, Colorado. The chocolate, sugar and peanuts in the product are organic, and the ingredients are all natural, which makes this a wonderfully guilt-free treat. I generally prefer dark chocolate, so I was excited this was the version available at Starbucks. And because it was so delicious, I would be more than enthusiastic to give the White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups and the Milk Chocolate cups, also sold by Justin's, a try.

What was most interesting was that Starbucks sold a chocolate product with a brand other than their own on the package.  In the past, the packaged chocolate treats sold near their cash register (at least here in Canada) have been branded under the Starbucks name, so it was nice to see Starbucks widening their range of treats and opening doors to other quality producers.

I have long been a fan of Justin's Classic and Honey Peanut Butter, which I believe I first tried at a Starbucks. And I am dying to try Justin's Chocolate Hazelnut Butter, which looks delicious and not so sweet, not like those other sugary hazelnut butters on the market.

For more information on the product that I tasted and reviewed today, here are the package details:
